Good afternoon Friends! With the holidays fast upon us, many of us can reflect on all that we are thankful for. Especially considering we live in the land of plenty. With thanksgiving a day away, gluttony stares upon us. As the average American gains upwards of 5 pounds during the holidays, here's a simple tip that will help keep that number down and make your weight loss goals in the new year easier.
Exercise first thing in the morning and if possible on a light or empty stomach. This will help jumpstart your metabolism and if you can time it out for 12 hours since your last meal, make fat burning that much easier. Strive for exercise that gets your heart rate up which can include running, body weight exercises or any combo. Not only will you feel better after a night (or day) of gluttony, but you'll also be building a great habit of daily fitness. Here's a quick routine that I do every morning, takes about 10 minutes and hits just about every muscle in the body;
Planks- 60 seconds, then 3 set of
Body weight squats- 30 reps
Push-ups -40 reps
Hip lifts-30 reps
Band rows-40 reps
